About Us

Jonathan Alder Soccer Association (JASA) was started in the fall of 1998 by Tom and Lynnette Bichsel with the intention of bringing youth soccer to the Plain City and Jonathan Alder Local School District area. We offer both fall and spring seasons for boys and girls beginning at age 4 through 8th grade.

Teams play in 5 intramural divisions: U6 (Kickers), U8 (Minis), U10 (Cubs), U12 (Juniors) and U15 (Seniors). When enrollments allow, these divisions are divided into single-sex teams/divisions, however if not, they are combined into co-ed teams/divisions. Each division plays on a different size field in accordance with the age of the players. These games are predominantly played on Saturday mornings with occasional games being played throughout the week the rest of the week as time and field space allows. From U8 through U12 we play mostly against other JASA teams, with occasional games played against teams from West Jeff, Marysville and Dublin. Our U15 (Senior) division plays in the Middle School Soccer Association (

MSSA

) which comprises teams from around central Ohio including Dublin, Worthington, Westerville, Pickerington and others.

Our primary focus is to provide a low-cost, family-friendly introduction to the game of soccer to the Plain City and Jonathan Alder community and foster each player’s love for the game of soccer and overall growth of the game in the community. We are entirely volunteer run and depend on volunteer coaches and staff to maintain our fields, coach our players and help the organization run smoothly and effectively.
